SPEECH TOASTMASTER

TIME:
20-30  minutes


PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To gain leadership skills in planning, organisation, time management and many more areas.
To acquire confidence in conducting a speech session.

BEFORE THE MEETING

Check agenda and get names of the speakers and evaluators.
Contact the speakers to get their speech titles, manual and project names.
Prepare introduction for the speech session.

DURING THE MEETING
Talk to speakers about any special requirements for their speech such as props and where they want the lectern placed.
For each speaker, announce the speaker's name and speech title; ask the evaluator to read the objectives; then call the speaker's name and speech title again. While they are speaking, be seated on the opposite side to where the speaker entered.
After each speech give a one-sentence encouraging comment.
At the end of all the speeches call upon each evaluator to give their reports.
In conclusion, thank all participants and hand meeting back to the Chariman.
